After wandering around looking for something that was a non-chain eatery, we found El Jardin. The service was good, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the food was very, very good. One of the more unique things that we found on the menu was the fajita taco salad. Not only was there quite a lot of meat, but there was a really good flavor in the whole bowl. They were very generous with the guacamole and the meal was satisfying to say the least.

My husband and I have been going here for years (2 or 3 times a month). Absolutely love this place. We have tried a number of there menu item and never disappointed. Love the chips and salsa. We even buy pints for home. Service is always good. Love the margaritas. Well I guess I just love it all!!!

The menu was filthy ( splattered with food), the booth was filthy (splattered with food), the hamburger ( in the Mexican hamburger) was burned, the shrimp (in the "jumbo") shrimp cocktail was "medium" size at best, and the booth (table) was so narrow your knees touched your companions! All for $40, after my $10 coupon. There was a message when I got home, we will see what they say.

My favorite place to eat in the north Denver area? El Jardin! They have great authentic Mexican food and they're menu has anything you could ask for at a Mexican restaurant. Their burrito supreme is simple but delicious. If you can handle spice, Hot or Extra Hot are the way to go.

Great food. My first time here. While waiting for my load dispatch told me of this place . Not disappointed . Will defiantly come back

We have been going to El Jardin for a few years now. The service is great. The wait staff is always friendly, competent, and helpful. The food is also very good. You can get chili the way you like it, mild, hot, etc. The enchiladas are great, as is all of their other menu items. El Jardin is a little out of our way, but it is worth it. They have the best Mexican Food around. .

Came here for brunch for a post-Halloween party and because Turnberry Elementary School was having a fundraiser. Because this place does fundraisers for non-profits, it got three stars, otherwise, it would have only received two stars. We had a big group of people (about 15 if I remember correctly) and were placed into a separate room/area from the general restaurant population. Once again, automatic gratuity (see my review on Las Hadas Mexican Restaurant), and once again, it seems like the wait staff thinks they don't have to give the same level of service since they are guaranteed a tip. Service was HORRIBLE. We waited 25 minutes from when we ordered until we received our food, We saw some people who arrived after us, ordered after us, receive there food before us, and were finished and leaving at about the time we finally got our food. A member of our party overheard the waiter say he had been out at a party the night before and wasn't happy that he had to work that day. Too bad and so sad for him, but Ive worked my fair share of holidays in my adult life, too. At any rate, unless Turnberry Elementary school has another fundraiser here, I will not be returning to this restaurant. (I don't have kids who go to Turnberry, but I have friends who do) Parking is not adequate

This place is pretty good. Coming from Albuquerque, that I feel is quite a compliment for a Mexican food joint here in Denver. The chile is good and hot if you order it that way. It's not hatch green chile from NM, but up here what is. The service is prompt and friendly, and generally knowledgeable about their menu. I really like that they have real sopapillas, and good tortillas. Can't tell you how much I hate mass produced chain restaurant tortillas, theirs are not. The restaurant is nice and large, so you are not going to have to wait too long to be seated even though this place is always busy. And if you do takeout a lot don't hesitate here, your order will be right. I really wish we had a nice Mexican restaurant down here in castle rock, this place is the example of how to run a great local restaurant. Just wish I didn't have to go all the way to commerce city to find one.

Rellenitos were delicious. I had the "crispy chille relleno plate" large portions and yes my food was good. Service was mediocre and the credit card machine was down I had to wait 30 min to finally leave. I will definitely come back to give it another try.

The term "if you build it, they will come" is applicable here. The food was neither good nor bad, but when you're the only game in town, you're going to be crowded! I came here to visit a family member, ordered the tequila lime chicken. The meat was a bit dry but had good flavor and the rice and beans were ok, a bit on the bland side. Chips and salsa were also neither great nor terrible - they came to the table room temperature and appeared to be pre-made, and the salsa was a nice medium heat. Overall, I'd say it's nice having a decent Mexican restaurant in Commerce City, but I think all the hype for this place is based on a lack of alternatives.

We've been looking for a good mexican restaurant and I think we have found our favorite one. Really good mexican food, good service and prices are not bad. They have a very big menu with so many different options. Their flan is delicious!!

Chips and salsa are amazing. Drinks are pretty darn good too but it was a shame we had to remind our server to bring them to us after a 45 minute wait. After sitting at out table for an hour an twenty minutes our food finally arrived -yahoo!!! It was fresh and hot and above average at best. With a 45 minute wait for drinks and an 1 hour 20 minute wait for food how can they claim to be Denver's best Mexican restaurant? Needless to say, we won't be going back.

Love El Jardin! I've never had a bad meal here nor bad service. Great green chili and my favorite....fajitas! The weekends can have a bit of a wait, but I'll take it as the food is worth it!

My wife and I joined some friends here for dinner on Saturday night. We arrived around 6:30pm with 6 people total and had to wait about an hour before they finally put two high top bar tables together in order to seat us. The food was just ok to me. I had shrimp fajitas for $17 and my wife had veggie fajitas for $13. Salsa was pretty good but the chips seemed to be store bought. They have TV's on so you can watch the game and the atmosphere was somewhat noisy but fairly clean. The best part of this restaurant was the Patron Italian margaritas for $12 each. Bottom line for me: if you're in the area with a hankering for Mexican food, then stop in but don't go out of your way.

This place is amazing. ..something for every taste bud at any time of the day. If you want spicy the Devils shrimp is excellent. However the hot green chili packs a good punch and has great flavor. The steak picado is my favorite the steak comes out so tender. In the past 7 years since finding this place I have not had an average or bad meal. The wait staff is excellent and many have been around for years. Also has the room for large groups and a great new cantina along the restaurant that is a great place to met for happy hour

If you are a fan of Tex-Mex Mile High Denver style Mexican food then this is your place. The service is awesome and the atmosphere is clean, warm and inviting. My favorite is Tacos al a King with carnitas, smothered with some of the best green chile in town. Best carnitas in Denver! They have a loyalty club also whereby you accumulate points every time you eat there and are rewarded with free food and occasional BOGO offers in your mailbox including a free birthday dinner. Ben, the owner, could be a little friendlier when he is there. Hear that Ben?

My husband and I went to try El Jardin on a recommendation on one of our date nights. I had the chicken enchiladas with red chili, and he had The Taste El Jardin. Sadly, it did not live up to our expectations at all, it was just a huge disappointment and on top of that I ended up getting food poisoning.

I've been here many, many times and the food has been consistently good. There's always a short wait, which is crazy because the place is huge, but it definitely isn't unbearable. This is by far the best place for Mexican around. The fried taco is amazing.

El Jardin catered a taco bar for our July wedding - Ben and his staff were excellent, professional, and courteous. We were running late because of weather and wardrobe issues, and they were very gracious in waiting a bit longer than the original planned time. We had tons of compliments on the food - the hot food was hot (we had a carnitas and ground beef taco bar) and the guacamole and salsa were very flavorful. The value of what we got was fantastic! We have also been to the resaurant many times and it's what encouraged us to contact them for catering in the first place. It is consistently good food and a great value.

El Jardin has become our go to Mexican place. I've had the carnitas several times (and in several different dishes) and frankly never had better. Everything we've tried has been good. I grew up in Arizona and spent a lot of time in New Mexico so I've had my share of Mexican food. El Jardin is definitely in the top tier of Mexican restaurants. Prices are a bit higher than some other places for lunch. I assume that's because they don't have a "lunch menu" but it's worth it in my opinion. Service is consistently friendly and good. Portions are big and served promptly.

Literally the worst salsa, queso, and atmosphere I've ever had/been to. I'm from Texas so maybe I'm biased but jeez...had way better elsewhere in Denver and not in the ghetto!

I can't believe I've never posted a review about El Jardin! I've been going there for several months now. For me, it was love at firs bite. El Jardin instantly became my favorite Mexican restaurant in Denver. I've since introduced several friends to El Jardin and they all agree. For most of us, it is almost the only Mexican Restaurant my friends and I go to now. Yesterday afternoon I showed up there with a group of 11 for my birthday dinner. They were busy and had several really large groups with reservations. Brianna (the mgr) was very accommodating and worked us in, making sure that we got to have our favorite server, Danny, take care of us. The service has been phenomenal every time I've been here. The food is always fresh and delicious, and the staff always makes you feel like you are at home to enjoy a fabulous meal. I can't say enough about El Jardin. My only regret is that it took me this long to discover it!

Went out for our birthdays and took the coupon. They refused the coupon as it expired on my birthday (this was only 5 days later). Overall the food is heavily sauced - acceptable quality similar to Casa Bonita food without the entertainment (or the good sopapillas) - it is difficult at best to find something that is light on the menu. The staff has changed and the place is going downhill fast. I will avoid in the future and would recommend others avoid as well.

Love good mexican food, the hubs is hispanic, his grandma made homemade tortillas everyday of her life, so we are always on the lookout for great mexican food. Made a point to make the trek to Commerce City to eat at El Jardin based on reviews here on Yelp. Went on a Saturday afternoon about 1:00 pm, place was busy but not crazy. We were seated promptly, but I have to admit, we waited several minutes before the server came around and took our drink orders. We ordered the queso dip to start. Hubby got a beer and me a margarita. I ordered a margarita with no salt on the rim, waited several more minutes and the drinks were served. Oh no, salt on rim. Had to send back. We never did receive the queso dip either, but we were not charged for it. Have to say however, the margarita was strong and very tasty. I forgive thee El Jardin. Okay, sounds like not exactly a great experience, why am I rating it so high? THE FOOD ROCKS. Green chili was fab, the tamale awesome, the chili rellano was badass, etc. Yes, the food was amazingly good, some of the best I have had in Denver. The service wasn't exactly spot on, but I would go back based on the tastiness of the food.

We love this place! We have been loyal customers of El Jardin for nearly 10 years! Ben and the staff are typically excellent and the food is great! If you are a green chili fan, and who isn't, this place has 7 levels of heat from mild to knock your socks off! The prices are increasing...to be expected, but the food is great!

The food is usually really good here but on this occasion it's been 45 minutes of people around us getting their food and dessert so I can't comment of how the food is.

As I drove by many Mexican restaurants on the way to the Commerce City location, I wondered what would separate El Jardin from the rest. Well, as I entered an entirely filled lot and a huge crowd of people waiting to be seated, I figured something must be right. Thankfully, I ordered to-go, as the wait was somewhere north of 30-45 minutes! But I can tell you the ambiance is typical local Mexican and the people around the joint looked pretty satisfied. We ordered (as usual) a deluxe feast consisting of the El Jardin sampler, a Battered Relleno (call protective services), and a Stuffed Sopapilla. When I opened the to-go containers, what I saw was mesmerizing - huge portions bathed in sauce. The rellenitos (in the sampler) were AWESOME and the main courses were delicious - however, the winner is certainly the stuffed sopapilla! If you're in the area and want to try some great Mexican or your willing to leave the city limits for a culinary adventure - check out El Jardin.
By far, our favorite Mexican restaurant in Denver. I think they have the best green chili I have ever had. The service we get whenever we go there is always friendly and attentive. The menu is really big and I can always find something new I want to try every time we go here. Our teenagers look forward to going for dinner when I tell them we are going to El Jardin. There is usually a wait for dinner as the news has gotten out as to how good this place is. We always try to grab a table in the bar as that cuts down on the wait time. Bottom line: best Mexican place in Denver. Not even close.

We've been dining at El Jardin for over five years. The food has gone downhill ever since our first dining experience. Today we went out for tacos as they were advertised as the special for the opening of their new patio. The tacos were simply tasteless! I don't know what happened to this restaurant! There are too many other Mexican restaurants to try to rather than keep getting disappointed here. This restaurant uses the old advertising of marking it up to mark it down. You should never go without a coupon or you'll be spending way too much money.

This is my go to Mexican food, lunch, drinks, dinner, you name it. The waitstaff is friendly and FAST! I'm there 2-4 times a week, the chips and salsa are good, the Cheladas are delicious!!!! I can get enough of the indian tacos, the tacos al king. I've never had a bad meal there. The members program is well worth it! So sign up.

I'm starting to get addicted. Delicious chips and salsa that I crave almost every day! I could live off of the chips and salsa and an order of beans with tortillas. So delicious! I wish they'd bottle their salsa and sell it. I can't wait to go back.

This place is our favorite Mexican food in the metro area. So delicious! I get the Burrito de Puerco everytime! Their green chili is fabulous. We travel from Aurora for this place - its so worth it. Sign up for their rewards program. I am constantly getting free stuff offered in my email and snail mail at home. And nothing beats the free birthday entree!

El Jardin has been a consistent haunt for my family for about a decade. It's a little out of the way for me but the food is indeed authentic. The staff is friendly and happy to accommodate requests. Side of Sour Cream is $1.50 which really surprised me! Prices seem to have gradually increased but still fair. The Carnita Tacos never fail. The Stuffed Gordita is good but a little greasy.

Good, but not great-the food is doused in tons of sauce and cheese. The chips were amazing! Service was slow, but, polite.

Last week I had a big ol' hankerin for some Tex-Mex style tacos. Crispy tacos, I whined to Himself. So he set about finding me a place that had decent crispy tacos. He did not disappoint. We took off to El Jardin. I went in thinking, ugh I'm going to get some soggy taco. Nothing soggy here. The chips and salsa before the meal weren't too bad, the chips were pretty fresh and crispy but the salsa was lacking.... something. I couldn't quite put my finger on it. It was OK but there was something missing that I just couldn't figure it out. hrm. Himself had the soft tacos with shredded beef and carnitas, he said the carnitas were great but the shredded beef tacos were lacking some flavor. My tacos were great. Just good crispy beef tacos with cheese and lettuce. The only downside was that they did not offer charro beans. I don't always like refried beans I prefer charro, in a cup, with a spoon and all salty. But the refried beans weren't that bad, they were a little 'lardish' to me. So I didn't eat much of them. I'll be back for sure. Close enough to Tex-Mex to make me feel like I was at home :)

This is the one of the best Mexican Sitdown spots I've ever been too. The chips and salsa are excellent, the entree was excellent, the service was excellent - always had my soda and water refilled, and the ambiance was great including the music.

My parents have bragged about El Jardin for years and last week after a busy Saturday where we attended and helped our friends with their daughters wedding the parents of the bride, my fiance and I landed thankfully at El Jardin. It is an out of the way oasis, a gem in the heart of Commerce City. Our waiter was amazing! He was friendly, funny and downright entertaining, he made the experience for us newbies to El Jardin unforgettable. Furthermore the food was delicious, we all ordered something different and all were extremely happy with our selections. We left so fat and happy that we are planning out next trip back and hopefully next time we will have room for those delicious looking sopapillas.

The food is edible but not the best Mexican Restaurant in Denver/Commerce City. I grew up eating Mexican food and this is not up to the standards of my Abuelas cooking. Their Indian Tacos were just two toasted flour tortilla with meat, sour cream, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes, basically a glorified taco. Not very memorable. I asked for Hot Tea and they gave me Lipton tea the kind you make iced tea out of. Their salsa was watered down and their tostadas seemed to me as store bought and just heated in the oven to seem "homemade". The food is not spicy at all. My kids quesadillas were really greasy and they didn't even want to touch them. Overall I think there are better Mexican Restaurants out there that truly deserve the title of Best Mexican Restaurant. But El Jardin doesn't cut it for me.

This household is a fan of the Jar-Jar. Food is always good service is great and now that they have a bar don't get me started..yay happy hour! My favorite is Pablo's enchiladas and the green chili always good. In addition they have a good breakfast menu that is worth a weekend stop. Ben keep up the good work.

El Jardin, you rocked my world! I'm on a constant hunt for great Mexican restaurants, and I have to give mad props to Mary Jo S for finding this gem. No lie, it's a drive from Denver, but based on what we ordered today I can confidently say: I'll be back! In true ladies-who-lunch form, we ordered margs for lunch: me, an Italian marg on the rocks (because that's in total keeping with a Mexican restaurant, no?) and Mary Jo got the Caribbean version. The drinks were strong, so tread lightly. El Jardin passed my first test - superior chips and salsa. Plentiful. The chips were high quality and salty, the salsa thin and flavor-packed. We shared the beef fajitas, which came topped with a roasted jalapeno, plenty of tortillas, and a gorgeous plate of extras (beans and cheese served in a mini crispy tortilla, and generous servings of guac, sour cream and pico.) On to the best part: for the love of Pete, order a bowl of posole. Mine was so delicious, I'm wishing I would have ordered some to take home. We had a wonderful server, who checked on us frequently without being intrusive. We arrived to a nearly-empty house at 11, and an hour later it was packed to a rafters. I've said it before - this many people can't be wrong. P.S. They have a gigantic side/party room just in case you need to seat large groups. Go, I tell you!

I LOVE this place! The green chile is not my favorite but the food is great. The margaritas are good & the sopapillas are the best I have ever had & are very unique. Sad news is that I live in Highlands Ranch! Way too far for frequent visits. :(

El Jardin is literally the BEST Mexican food I have had in such a long time. Now, i'm an avid fan of Mexican food, but it seems as if everytime I go try a new restaurant, my food is just slabbed onto my plate with that generic type of taste, if you know what I mean. Yet, at El Jardin although they do serve the typical rice and beans as a side there is something different about the taste. My first time here I ordered a Chicken Burrito with the Green Chile on the side. We snacked on some chips and homemade salsa before the food came and the salsa tasted so good. I got my Chicken Burrito and it probably had to be some of the most moist chicken I have ever tasted, and don't get me started on the Green Chile. I usually am iffy about Green Chile because my dad has accustomed me to his homemade kind, but I would eat this Green Chile every single day! Another nice thing El Jardin offers (besides its friendly wait staff) is specials every day. Although I haven't "participated" in these specials they do have $1.99 Margaritas on Thursdays and also specials of the day (The Tequila Lime Chicken sounds delicious). I would definately recommend this restaurant to anyone who is craving delicious Mexican food. It is a little hard to find, but definately worth the time.

Love, love, love this place! My husband and I eat here at least 3x a month. Service is great and food is the best Mexican I have had any where! Portions are huge and prices are decent. I don't get the people who wrote that they were sick after eating here, we have never had that problem in the 6 years we have been going here. And for the people who say they serve Nestea for tea they don't, it is fresh brewed and the tortillas are fresh too. Always a great experience!

Not overly impressed honestly. This reminds me of an exact copy of the ubiquitous Colorado chain Three Margaritas. Food quality and waiter/waitress dress are the same. Chips tasted fresh. Salsa was a disaster and fully gringo-ized ground to a liquid. I like chunks of tomato in my salsa. Meal was your average quality - again compare to Three Margaritas. There wasn't much that was "homemade" here and the taste proved it. Weird flow to the dining room with 2 entrances. Two dining rooms connect together and there is a weird, high-ceilinged mega banquet hall also attached to the dining room. Service was friendly but attentiveness sometimes lacks. Frequent dining program can save you some money but only after a ridiculous amount of purchases (around $100) and returns something like a $10 discount. Parking sucks here. They try to push the Frequent Diner program down your throat at every visit. Will I return? Probably, just to support local business. This, sadly, is a sold 3 and nothing more. You won't get sick here and the place is clean with pleasant staff - just nothing special. The search goes on...

We absolutely love the food at El Jardin! It is simply the best Mexican food around, hands down. Staff is very friendly and the drinks are great too.

Ever since my husband and I have first gone here, it has become our staple if we want Mexican food. The service is always great and friendly, and the food has always been amazing. Even though we always get the chicken fajitas, I have not found another Mexican place that we really love. Also the prices are good for the amount of food you get.

I work in Commerce City, so it was great to find a place that I can support in a town that is kind of lacking in charm. El Jardin has great food, quick service, coupons with great deals and I've never had a bad experience. My favorite is the garlic shrimp--YUM!
(4)
Rahim L.
Apparently saying you are a vegetarian and don't eat meat at El Jardin means please add pork to my meal. Easily the worst dining experience I had on my trip to Denver. We had to wait about 45 minutes to get our food and 2 of my friends had upset stomachs for the rest of our trip. Avoid this place at all costs unless you like restaurants that screw up your order and/or diarrhea for days.

My husband and I probably eat at El Jardin at least once a month being that I drive by on my way home everyday. Living in Reunion its one of the FEW places out our way that has decent food. I've never really understood why I have to pay $4 to take an extra side of salsa home - but if I dine in I could eat a pint of it and not be charged. Green chile and everything else on their menu is super delicious. Steak and avocado burrito is amazing. Service is perfect probably 90% of the time - and that's pretty rare these days!

My family and I LOVE El Jardin, the staff is nice and the food is GREAT. They have perfect margaritas to make it that much better.

El jardin is a nice local place. I would not drive a long distance to get there, but as they are close to my home I go occaisionally. The servers are always animated and friendly, the atmosphere is good but I find the food is lacking. It is no Casa Bonita bad, but I have deifnately had better growing up in Denver. The kids menu actually offers something other then quesadillas and chicken strips and my kids enjoy going there. The salsa is mild enough that even my kids can eat it and not worry. The best thing? El Jardin is an active supporter of my kids' school functions. The come out and put a hot bar together and allow us to offer more then just hot dogs and popcorn at carnivals and other functions. For that I will keep going to El Jardin alone.

Best Mexican food in metro area I wish they would open other locations. If you ask for hot be prepared, because it is like it supposed to be.

Food coma time! I got the chicken chimichanga and my boyfriend got the steak and chicken fajitas. Both were delicious! Our server was very cheerful and attentive. Admittedly we were a bit early for the dinner rush so the servers weren't overwhelmed. Great dinner, will definitely return again!
(5)

I went here a few weeks ago with a friend of mine that I hadn't seen in a couple of years. The atmosphere was great for catching up, and the server seemed to know when to come check on us. The food portions are huge for the reasonable price you pay, and horchata is delicious! I have been struggling to find a decent place to go for Mexican food, and this place meets my seemingly-high expectations! I will definitely be back!

Given that I work in a northeast 'burb of Denver, El Jardin is the usual place for lunch with coworkers. The staff is always friendly and I never wait very long for a table during the lunch hour. The food is typical Tex-Mex but that is fine with me. I love the big booths (comfy and private for catching up on all the office gossip) and the chips and salsa. I usually eat all of the chips and salsa before my food comes and then I still manage to eat most of my food - a bean burrito with extra salsa on the side. A full tummy is a happy tummy.

Food and service is excellent. My favorite plate is the enchilada dinner.

The food is decent but the service sucks, the coupon offerings are a joke... You can never get what you want and the waitress flat out lied to us about pricing and then refused to offer the price that came straight from her mouth. Her resoponse was that BEN already printed all coupons so the verbage could not be changed to the proper offer... Wat a bunch of crap this is the second time I had issues and certaintly my last, I will NEVER return.

My Take: I agree with Raoul B's comments. El Jardin definitely has great service, it's clean, and the food is delicious. However, it would be better situated in a neighboring city. Even though the location is poor, this place does great for itself! My Experience: I visited El Jardin on a Friday afternoon for lunch with my wife and mother-in-law. We had been out and about all day driving from one side of town and back. We decided to stop and have lunch on our way back from which we came and my mother-in-law, being an avid patron of El Jardin, suggested we stop. I wasn't horribly hungry, but I found myself woofing down a good amount of tortilla chips and El Jardin's mild salsa. Yes, it's mild. Mild meaning not hot at all. I ordered the stuffed sopaipilla. This was my first time eating a stuffed sopaipilla, served with ground beef, cheese, and smothered in your choice of chili. I had mine with green chili. To my surprise, our lunch was served within 15 minutes of it being ordered and they were busy! I was shocked! The waitress kept the refills coming, but she was kind enough to ask if I wanted more soda and if so, how much. I didn't make it to desert. Hell, I didn't even eat my beans or rice, which is unusual for me. But, I couldn't possibly eat anymore. I didn't even want to finish my main course, but I couldn't stop!

El Jardin is a nice little place for being in the middle of Commerce City. I always have to start with rating the chips in salsa in a Mexican restaurant: The chips were fresh and warm, but the salsa was bland and watery. Next, I tried to order an iced tea - but they only serve Nestea... yuck. I had a tamale plate topped with green chile. It was really good and I'd recommend it. My girlfriend had a burrito. It was made with a store bought tortilla and the flavor suffered for that. The service was excellent prompt and friendly. Overall, not bad - but I've had better. With a little work this could be a 4 star place.

Really bummed.....El Jardin was recommended by a few people, and aftering reading the reviews, I was sold and excited to try it. What a disappointment. I am confused on how there are so many great reviews. The server was not in the best mood.....and it showed. Oh well....still excited to try the food. My husband and I went for a mid-week LUNCH. The chips and salsa were very commercial. Then, the meal came. I ordered the tostada plate and the hubby ordered the steak taco salad. The ground beef on the tostadas had a VERY peculiar taste. Not spoiled, but not good. Very odd. The "award winning-world famous" green chile....blech. I paid $2 for 3 tablespoons of it. Yuck. The portion of steak on the very small taco salad was surprising and disappointing. The server acted surprised when we declined the take-home boxes. Can't imagine what it would taste like reheated! When the bill came.........$30 for LUNCH???? Paaaleeeeze! We didn't even order soda! Had it been remotely good, maybe. But it was bad. I hope they were just having an off day that day, but sadly.....we won't be giving them another try.

Deserae is the best bartender ever! Every bartender should be so good. Italian margaritas are to die for! Johnny runs this "ship" like a Carnival Cruise, meals are always hot and perfect, the restaurant is always clean, the staff are like family;friendly, courteous. El Jardin treats you like its your first time there, everytime!

First off, most of the 5-star ratings on here are quite obviously written by management. El Jardin is overpriced, make weak drinks, and their food is average Mexican fare at best. They do have a following because of all their mailers, but good marketing does not necessarily translate into good food or service. For example, their "free" birthday entree value is only up to $12... way below the average cost of a combo meal, and then everyone in your party has to order an overpriced drink (almost $3)... for a party of 3, with the birthday coupon, I still paid about $40... way too expensive for this type of food. OVER RATED!

This place is a dive but the food is consistently good. We have eaten here several times and keep coming back for more. In my opinion the prices are way to high and have decided not eating here any longer. We always leave dissatisfied. So long El Jardin :(

I should first of all say that my two-star review is because of the establishment itself, not the food. The food isn't actually half bad, but the ambiance of the entire restaurant completely puts me off. There isn't really a whole lot of Mexican-fare in Commerce City, and as a result, this place gets packed, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. They seem to be the only real Mexican joint in town. ...and it's almost as if El Jardin knows exactly this, which is why they run the restaurant the way they do. How else would you explain a menu that is as pricey as it is? For two individuals to dine, plan on spending around $30, and that's not with alcoholic beverages. The small combination plate is almost $13. Mexican should not be this expensive. They also refuse substitutions. Another interesting aspect is that the chile relleno is offered on the menu, but as an add on for nearly $4. Most Mexican restaurants I've been to have chile rellenos readily available and on the menu, part of combination plates, etc. But El Jardin gives off the vibe that the chile relleno is some kind of a delicacy. Also, and I realize that this is nitpicky, but the building itself is a frustration. They have two entrances, both with hostess stands where you can wait to be seated. If you don't get there on a Friday night before 5:30, plan on waiting for 25 minutes or more. Yet the one hostess stand, which I'm assuming is near the back of the restaurant, rarely gets used, so you'll be waiting a few minutes just to be told that the wait is over 20 minutes. To the average patron who is new to the establishment, confusion will begin to set in... If there's a 25-minute wait, then where are all of the other waiting patrons? Do I wait here, or do I cross the restaurant to where I'm assuming the other customers are waiting at the other hostess stand? Like I said, frustrating. I want to like this place, I really do. We've given it a few tries, but each time we leave disappointed... at both the prices and the completely backwards way that this restaurant is ran.

Went on a Thursday evening about 6:30. When they book both "side rooms" as private parties, the wait can be extremely long. They are mostly set up for parties of 2-4; if you have five or more, the wait can be really long because they don't have enough bigger tables. We were a party of five and waited almost an hour for a table. The $1.99 margarita helped. The food was good but by the time we got our food, I was so tired I ended up taking most of my dinner home.

Omg I love this place so much. They have the best salsa and the chimichanga is to die for. They have the best green chili I have ever had and in three spice levels. The hot is truly hot and my moth is burning but man is it good. I love coming here so much the chips are light and salsa is spicy. I don't know why it has such a low rating. People are crazy not to live it.

El Jardin is hands down the best Mexican food restaurant in Colorado or anywhere for that fact. Being family owned and operated makes you feel like family when you are dining. Ben, Paul and Johnny alway greet us with a warm smile and hello. Desirae is the best bar tender a thirsty customer could wish for. Never leaving a glass unattended and if you are regulars like ourselves, she is preparing the beverage as we enter the Cantina. The food is very delicious. The flavor is consistent everytime, making your craving satisfied each visit made. Whether it's a Happy Hour visit or dining with family and friends, you will not be disappointed. Here's to many more!

I went to El Jardin for my birthday the other day, and I was so impressed with the food, and the service! I got Pablos chicken enchiladas, which were excellent! 3 enchiladas, rice and beans on a huge platter! Got 3 meals from it! The desserts were delicious! I got the flan, and we got free sopapillas for my birthday. Highly recommend this place for excellent Mexican food!

This is our favorite mexican restaurant BY FAR! The meats and flavors of all the dishes we have tried have been exceptional. We always hang out at the bar and Desiree is so friendly and helpful. Compared to other Mexican restaurants we have tried, you get way more food and much better quality food at El Jardin. If you live in Denver, the drive to Commerce City is well worth it.

El Jardin has some pretty good Mexican food. Their green chile is good (I recommend hot, versus medium or mild). If you are thinking of getting an appetizer, get the rellenitos! Muy bien! Staff is friendly and plenty of parking with easy access... Almost 5 stars, almost...

Not as good as I remember. And the prices are much higher. Most dishes run $13-$16. $94 for lunch for a family of 4 with 2 Margaritas. Maybe just an off day for the staff today...Service was friendly but extremely slow. Drinks arrived 20+ minutes after being seated, then order taken, then another 20+ for our food to arrive. 4 in our party but food was served a few minutes apart from each other. We had to ask for silverware and napkins. My Italian Marg was frozen as requested but flavorless and very foamy with chunks of ice so large they stuck in the straw. Not very good. The food we ordered was just okay. We all ordered "hot" and our food came mild at best. Maybe would have been better if we had not chowed down on 4 bowls of chips and salsa while we waited 40 minutes to eat but we were all pretty hungry when we arrived. We had lots left over but decided not to take it to go. I think we have had our fill of this place and do not expect to be back.

This place is over rated. They are constantly raising prices on the menu but the quality never changes. The alcohol drinks are very weak and taste rushed. However, they will break your wallet so you are better off drinking water. You can tell the main focus here is money.

My boyfriend and I ate here for the first time tonight and I gave it 4 stars! The food was great, the salsa was awesome. I am not usually excited about Mexican places but I really liked my tostada platter and his beef and bean burrito was tasty too. I left one star off because it does seem a bit pricey but overall- two thumbs up!

My family loves this place. It's so good that we drive down from the Broomfield area. I try something different every time and haven't had anything that I didn't enjoy. The service has always been good - not always the fastest on busy nights.

This place is soooooooo good!! They have amazing green chile. I am glad that it is located close to my house because I wife and I attend this place frequently! Even the younger kids like this place. This is the most restaurant ever, the very most!

We've been coming here for over ten years! Always good service and great food. When they are busy a 15 to 30 minute wait is worth it. Based on the customers coming back and new ones discovering it! Can't understand the negative reviews unless it was a one time issue. I suggest they try it again, especially on Thursday - Margarita night out on the patio! Who hasn't had a bad meal or service even at their favorite place. Who's they would open a new one up in Brighton!

Currently the Duchess, altho only been here less than a year, but so good, HAVE to come regularly. Sadly they can't express delivery to our door in Austin, to where I'm moving tomorrow. I sit at the bar cuz doesn't matter who's tending, they remember my preferences and then we catch up on each other. Desirea is THE best, as she remembers all my finicky details, sees all the certificates I've brought and uses them all and is just so mellow, never pushy... I usually order a few meals to go to split for my lunches at work...altho Desirea remembers black beans instead of refried beans and corn tortillas instead of flour, I tend to get a mix of both in my 3 to 4 to go orders, but oh well, the main courses are so yummy, the slip-ups don't mount to much set back... Altho quite the hike out here for us, definitely worth it!! Oh, and Mojito lovers, Desirea SPOILS you with hers!! And Thursdays 3-close, $1.99 Margaritas, YUM!;

We've been looking for our new fav "Denver style" Mexican place since our go to went downhill a bit... (no names mentioned here)... and while El Jardin is a bit out of our way from downtown Denver; it was worth the trip!! GREAT green chile, tasty all aorund and friendly service!! We'll be back for sure!!

Tonight was an amazing night at El Jardin Mexican Restaurant!! Our server Manuela was a rock star!! Her personality is fantastic and made us feel right at home after a long day!! She not only greeted us with a smile she continually attended to our needs throughout the evening. Our food was great...when you haven't visited for a while and then you come back again you wonder why so long between visits! Excellent food!! The manager, Johnny, was so pleasant! Greeted each of us with a handshake and introduced himself...who does that any more?? I love family owned restaurants!! What a great night where more than the food was great! We will be back again, and again and AGAIN!! Yum!! Give Manuela a raise!!

Don't come. TERRIBLE service. Waited over 15 minutes for appetizer and not only did they get it wrong but forgot sides that came with it.

I'm not sure why this place has such great reviews. It's really expensive, even for sides . The green chile is almost completely tasteless and has no spice... At least tonight . The atmosphere is clean and nice but way too expensive for the quality .

We have had many suggestions from friends to check out this place. It's about 10 minutes from home and I have passed it hundreds of times and never knew much about it. I'm SO glad we did check it out! It's the best Mexican food I have had in ages. I had the seafood enchilada and it was by far the best enchilada I've ever had. My husband had the enchilada ranchero with hot green chile (mine was mild because I'm very much a white girl) and said it was just right. We both had margaritas - him a frozen raspberry and me a melon on the rocks and they were strong but delicious. The prices were fair - we paid $48 for 2 adults, a child's meal, and 2 margaritas. And the food was all GOOD. Service was good as well. We will absolutely be back.

I had been to El Jardin several times and at first I absolutely loved it, then I began to realize that it's not the place for me. On one occasion not only did we find hair in our left overs, we had waited ten minutes to even be greeted. When we were taken to our table, by the extremely pregnant waitress, she seemed almost irritated that we were there. She didn't even check on us to refill our drinks. This last visit was put together by my aunt for my uncle's birthday. I was told the reservation was at eight for 20 people, but to be there early to set stuff up. All of our running around fell into place and we ended up at the restaurant at seven. No big deal right? I went to who I assume was the manage,r because he dressed a tad bit more upscale then everyone else and told him we were there, he said the table was in use. I said no problem we are here and will be waiting until it's available. I felt good about our conversation until , I grabbed a drink from the bar and over heard him complaining that we were early, and our reservations wasn't even until eight. It really erked me, because I wasn't rude or impatiently waiting and he should probably not talk about the people that build the business. The chips and salsa were absolutely delicious and everything else was mediocre at best. They took forever to take our order! and also failed to tell us when making the reservation for eight that they closed at nine. So half way through the party, every employee was staring.awkward. Needless to say we spent well over three hundred dollars there, and thankfully my auntie has a big heart and left the waitress a 60+ dollar tip. We will not be spending any more time or money there.

Good service, depending on the night. They have raised the prices so much, we rarely go anymore. Mexican food should be lower priced, its cheap to make. You are paying higher end prices here for mexican food. I will stick to Las Delicias.

Solid Mexican fare in the heart of Commerce City. The salsa is spicy (not punishing) and delicious. We both had the cadillac margaritas, which were delicious. I had the steak fajitas. The steak was well seasoned, the vegetables were cooked just right. I wish the tortillas had been smaller (they were more burrito-sized), but they were still scrumptious.

Looking for a good Mexican Restaurant, authentic, non chain near our Stapleton home. We like La Sandia in Northfield but wanted another choice & a traditional style Mexican Restaurant in close by Commerce City, let's give it a try so picked the top Rated, El Jardin. My rating totally varies from other reviews, but as two star rating reflects "I have definitely had better". First thought, Parking lot full , must be good. The Good: Seated right away, whole place was busy. Friendly, attentive service. Warm chips, tasty salsa. Food served very hot, yay. Not as good: Don't other the regular house Margarita, very cheap tasting Tequila . Very weak, well the Tequila was so cheap tasting maybe that is ok. Chili Rellano: bland, way too much greasy cheese, typical dry bland Spanish rice, excellent Refried beans, green chile very good, but skimpy on portion so did not save the meal. Tacos, ok, although shell was but our preference. Prices actually seemed high, considering. If food was outstanding, but food wa not. So......still On the hunt for good authentic place here in Commerce City near our home.

I love the rellenos appetizer, smothered flautas, spanish rice, their hot & x-hot chile, their reward programs, holidays buffets, and their service. They are seriously just super solid.
The food, service and atmosphere was good. They kept our water glasses filled and our chips & salsa replenished. The cheese caso dip was different than TexMex because it had 2 different kinds of cheeses and was very tasty. We stopped in for lunch between the airport and the ski resorts based on the Yelp reviews which were very helpful.

Sorry to say, El Jardin lost a couple (or three) stars over our last outing there. They've added a bar to this place, Benito's Cantina, and it's really nice. We decided on eating in there because there's less families with kids. And, natcherly, we ordered a couple drinks. Now, these guys have a fairly decent happy-hour, mojitos are like $3, and my wife, who likes cheladas, got a couple of those, also $3. We had our usual email coupon deal, thought nothing of it, ordered, ate our meal, got the ticket, and were FLOORED by the total. Seems the email deals say right in the fine print that no other offers, etc. apply, so we got charged FULL PRICE for the drinks, even though it was happy-hour. Couple of mojitos, cheladas at SIX BUCKS A POP adds up quick. We objected of course, but were shown no mercy. Sorry, but I call BULLSHIT. No place I've ever been takes away the happy-hour discount on drinks because you used a coupon for the food. And if we had known that would be the case, we sure as HELL wouldn't have ordered any alcohol, would've stuck to iced tea. I hate to give up on this place because they did so many things right, but I gotta tell ya, I won't tolerate being ripped off like that. So no more El Jardin for us. Adios, amigos.

Good authentic Mexican food, at least from what I can tell being from the DC area where there are at best a handful of good Mexican places. The chips and salsa were awesome. The chips were warm and the salsa was just a little toward the spicy side. I had the Steak Ranchero. It really was smothered in green chili sauce. It does come out super spicy when you order it hot. If you keep that in mind you should be OK.

(5)
Bill C.

Literally the worst salsa, queso, and atmosphere I've ever had/been to. I'm from Texas so maybe I'm biased but jeez...had way better elsewhere in Denver and not in the ghetto!

I'm starting to get addicted. Delicious chips and salsa that I crave almost every day! I could live off of the chips and salsa and an order of beans with tortillas. So delicious! I wish they'd bottle their salsa and sell it. I can't wait to go back.

So sign up.

My family and I LOVE El Jardin, the staff is nice and the food is GREAT. They have perfect margaritas to make it that much better.

Jojo M.

Currently the Duchess, altho only been here less than a year, but so good, HAVE to come regularly. Sadly they can't express delivery to our door in Austin, to where I'm moving tomorrow. I sit at the bar cuz doesn't matter who's tending, they remember my preferences and then we catch up on each other. Desirea is THE best, as she remembers all my finicky details, sees all the certificates I've brought and uses them all and is just so mellow, never pushy... I usually order a few meals to go to split for my lunches at work...altho Desirea remembers black beans instead of refried beans and corn tortillas instead of flour, I tend to get a mix of both in my 3 to 4 to go orders, but oh well, the main courses are so yummy, the slip-ups don't mount to much set back... Altho quite the hike out here for us, definitely worth it!! Oh, and Mojito lovers, Desirea SPOILS you with hers!! And Thursdays 3-close, $1.99 Margaritas, YUM!;

Don't come. TERRIBLE service. Waited over 15 minutes for appetizer and not only did they get it wrong but forgot sides that came with it.

I'm not sure why this place has such great reviews. It's really expensive, even for sides . The green chile is almost completely tasteless and has no spice... At least tonight . The atmosphere is clean and nice but way too expensive for the quality .

Great food, weak margaritas and nice servers but the service was lacking. I will give them a second chance.

They have the best Mexican Food around. .

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

(5)Troy R.

(1)Mike F.
I've been here many, many times and the food has been consistently good. There's always a short wait, which is crazy because the place is huge, but it definitely isn't unbearable. This is by far the best place for Mexican around. The fried taco is amazing.
(5)Audrey C.
(4)Bill C.
(5)Kira P.
Literally the worst salsa, queso, and atmosphere I've ever had/been to. I'm from Texas so maybe I'm biased but jeez...had way better elsewhere in Denver and not in the ghetto!
(1)Dave C.
(5)Don M.
(1)Tammy N.
(4)Team-Seibel R.
(5)Kevin R.
The food is usually really good here but on this occasion it's been 45 minutes of people around us getting their food and dessert so I can't comment of how the food is.
(1)Dustin F.
(4)Cheryl W.
El Jardin seemed to be in a bit of a rough section of town, so we were a little afraid, but are we ever happy we stopped. The service was excellent. The food was fresh and delicious. I had the tequila lime chicken (Tuesday special) and it was really good. My boyfriend ordered the fajita burrito, and it was equally as good as the lime chicken. Great food, nice décor, great service, very satisfied. Dessert was great too. We ordered the flan and the cinnamon crispa; very delicious.
(5)Doug O.
(5)Bill N.
(1)James S.
So sign up.
(5)Suzanne P.
While my posole and chile rellenos were super tasty I became very ill after eating here. GIGANTIC portions.
(2)Nicole C.
I'm starting to get addicted. Delicious chips and salsa that I crave almost every day! I could live off of the chips and salsa and an order of beans with tortillas. So delicious! I wish they'd bottle their salsa and sell it. I can't wait to go back.
(5)Peggy B.
(5)Danielle F.
Love this place. I'm in town on business frequently and always make time to swing through El Jardin. My favorite is the stuffed sopapilla. Yum!
(5)Andrea E.
(3)Coral T.
Good, but not great-the food is doused in tons of sauce and cheese. The chips were amazing! Service was slow, but, polite.
(3)Erin M.
(4)Selector S.
This is the one of the best Mexican Sitdown spots I've ever been too. The chips and salsa are excellent, the entree was excellent, the service was excellent - always had my soda and water refilled, and the ambiance was great including the music.
(5)Darcy F.
(5)Jovanna F.
(2)Jennifer L.
(4)Laura L.
(4)Kristen D.
I LOVE this place! The green chile is not my favorite but the food is great. The margaritas are good & the sopapillas are the best I have ever had & are very unique. Sad news is that I live in Highlands Ranch! Way too far for frequent visits. :(
(4)Kamila H.

Sooo Goood! Great authentic mexican food, fantastic green chile, and amazing service!
(5)Heather A.
(5)Steve R.

(5)Kim K.
Ever since my husband and I have first gone here, it has become our staple if we want Mexican food. The service is always great and friendly, and the food has always been amazing. Even though we always get the chicken fajitas, I have not found another Mexican place that we really love. Also the prices are good for the amount of food you get.
(5)Rebecca H.
I work in Commerce City, so it was great to find a place that I can support in a town that is kind of lacking in charm. El Jardin has great food, quick service, coupons with great deals and I've never had a bad experience. My favorite is the garlic shrimp--YUM!
(4)Rahim L.
(1)Kim S.
(4)Erica D.
My family and I LOVE El Jardin, the staff is nice and the food is GREAT. They have perfect margaritas to make it that much better.
(5)Christi R.
(3)Phillip V.
Best Mexican food in metro area I wish they would open other locations. If you ask for hot be prepared, because it is like it supposed to be.
(4)Cristina F.
(5)Brooke F.
(4)Tina C.
(3)Danielle B.
Food and service is excellent. My favorite plate is the enchilada dinner.
(5)Truth S.
(1)Chris W.
(4)Lori S.
Best Mexican food in Denver by far and we have tried many. The options, the service and quality go hand in hand at this place.
(4)Kevin B.
Wow! The food and margaritas were really good! We also had great service - if you go ask for Danny's section!
(5)Jeremy D.
(3)Cinde W.
(1)Cara W.
(5)Daniel C.
OVER RATED!
(2)Dixon E.
This place is a dive but the food is consistently good. We have eaten here several times and keep coming back for more. In my opinion the prices are way to high and have decided not eating here any longer. We always leave dissatisfied. So long El Jardin :(
(2)Sean M.
(2)Jojo M.
(3)Shelby M.
(5)Mark W.
This will probably become my new favorite Mexican restaurant.
(4)Josalyn S.
(5)Tracy K.
(5)Molly R.
(5)Ric E.
(4)Annette M.
(2)Brandy V.
This place is over rated. They are constantly raising prices on the menu but the quality never changes. The alcohol drinks are very weak and taste rushed. However, they will break your wallet so you are better off drinking water. You can tell the main focus here is money.
(2)Courtney M.
(4)Kathy D.
Great food and service. Restaurant is clean and well decorated. Would definitely recommend finding it. Tucked away a bit, so use the GPS.
(5)Greg M.
My family loves this place. It's so good that we drive down from the Broomfield area. I try something different every time and haven't had anything that I didn't enjoy. The service has always been good - not always the fastest on busy nights.
(5)Rianna M.
Best Mexican food in commerce city! My boyfriend and I come in at least 3 times a month and have never been let down. Indian tacos, burritos, combo's, are fantastic!
(5)Stuart P.
This place is soooooooo good!! They have amazing green chile. I am glad that it is located close to my house because I wife and I attend this place frequently! Even the younger kids like this place. This is the most restaurant ever, the very most!
(5)Wallace C.
(4)BlaundNordic V.
Currently the Duchess, altho only been here less than a year, but so good, HAVE to come regularly. Sadly they can't express delivery to our door in Austin, to where I'm moving tomorrow. I sit at the bar cuz doesn't matter who's tending, they remember my preferences and then we catch up on each other. Desirea is THE best, as she remembers all my finicky details, sees all the certificates I've brought and uses them all and is just so mellow, never pushy... I usually order a few meals to go to split for my lunches at work...altho Desirea remembers black beans instead of refried beans and corn tortillas instead of flour, I tend to get a mix of both in my 3 to 4 to go orders, but oh well, the main courses are so yummy, the slip-ups don't mount to much set back... Altho quite the hike out here for us, definitely worth it!! Oh, and Mojito lovers, Desirea SPOILS you with hers!! And Thursdays 3-close, $1.99 Margaritas, YUM!;
(5)Glenn H.
Excellent service to night from Manuela. Had one of my favs Mexican hamburger with med green chili which was a little warmer than normal. But still good. And a fried egg. Mmmmmmm.
(5)Chris S.
Manuela has treated us with the best service. Will be coming back to this place again and again
(5)Heather H.
A family favorite! Love, love, love the green chile. Pork & avocado burrito is my go to meal. Appreciate the free bday meal. Never have bad service. Mothers Day brunch is the business!!!
(5)Heather W.
The food is great, it is pretty pricey though. The restaurant is always clean and the service is great.
(4)Don P.
(5)Anne H.
(5)Kiana A.
Don't come. TERRIBLE service. Waited over 15 minutes for appetizer and not only did they get it wrong but forgot sides that came with it.
(2)Jordann C.
I'm not sure why this place has such great reviews. It's really expensive, even for sides . The green chile is almost completely tasteless and has no spice... At least tonight . The atmosphere is clean and nice but way too expensive for the quality .
(2)Katie S.
(4)Danielle L.
(1)Adrian L.
Good service, depending on the night. They have raised the prices so much, we rarely go anymore. Mexican food should be lower priced, its cheap to make. You are paying higher end prices here for mexican food. I will stick to Las Delicias.
(3)Cyndi J.
(4)Craig S.
(2)Rikki A.
Love this place. I've been coming here for 5 years now and I haven't had a single bad experience or plate of food.
(4)Alma P.
I love the rellenos appetizer, smothered flautas, spanish rice, their hot & x-hot chile, their reward programs, holidays buffets, and their service. They are seriously just super solid.
(5)Justin A.
El Jardin reminds me of the baseball cards I collected as a child. Like this restaurant to its lifetime loyal local customers, they think the world of this establishment like I thought the world of my baseball cards in my youth. And just like now I don't value my cards like I once did, I (as a new customer) found El Jardin to be no different than the abundance of Mexican restaurants between it and my home in Denver when a friend of mine took me here to "show it off." Across the board, every aspect of El Jardin is average. Prices aren't too expensive to too cheap. Food isn't too yummy or too gross. Service isn't amazing or pathetic. And the atmosphere and décor isn't great or an eyesore. Go here if you're in the area and want to try something new but don't go out of your way to spend your money here.
(3)Sarah V.
(5)Raoul B.
(2)Sean C.
(4)Charly W.
Great food, weak margaritas and nice servers but the service was lacking. I will give them a second chance.
(3)Jennifer B.
A bit of a drive and while driving you wonder where the heck am I going, but it was delicious!! Friendly service, excellent variety of food, and good drinks. Will return!
(4)Jason Q.
(3)Brian M.
(5)Troy R.
(5)Marimar V.

(5)Bill C.
(5)Audrey C.

Literally the worst salsa, queso, and atmosphere I've ever had/been to. I'm from Texas so maybe I'm biased but jeez...had way better elsewhere in Denver and not in the ghetto!
(1)Nicole C.
I'm starting to get addicted. Delicious chips and salsa that I crave almost every day! I could live off of the chips and salsa and an order of beans with tortillas. So delicious! I wish they'd bottle their salsa and sell it. I can't wait to go back.

(5)Don M.

(5)Kevin R.
The food is usually really good here but on this occasion it's been 45 minutes of people around us getting their food and dessert so I can't comment of how the food is.
(1)Dustin F.
(5)Doug O.
(5)Bill N.
(1)James S.
So sign up.
(5)Suzanne P.
While my posole and chile rellenos were super tasty I became very ill after eating here. GIGANTIC portions.
(2)Peggy B.
(5)Danielle F.
Love this place. I'm in town on business frequently and always make time to swing through El Jardin. My favorite is the stuffed sopapilla. Yum!
(5)Erin M.
(4)Selector S.
This is the one of the best Mexican Sitdown spots I've ever been too. The chips and salsa are excellent, the entree was excellent, the service was excellent - always had my soda and water refilled, and the ambiance was great including the music.
(5)Darcy F.
(5)Rahim L.
(1)Jovanna F.
(2)Jennifer L.
(4)Laura L.
(4)Kristen D.
I LOVE this place! The green chile is not my favorite but the food is great. The margaritas are good & the sopapillas are the best I have ever had & are very unique. Sad news is that I live in Highlands Ranch! Way too far for frequent visits. :(
(4)Kim S.
(4)Kamila H.
(5)Steve R.
(3)Nickole L.
We absolutely love the food at El Jardin! It is simply the best Mexican food around, hands down. Staff is very friendly and the drinks are great too.
(4)Erica D.
My family and I LOVE El Jardin, the staff is nice and the food is GREAT. They have perfect margaritas to make it that much better.
(5)Andrea E.
(3)Coral T.
Good, but not great-the food is doused in tons of sauce and cheese. The chips were amazing! Service was slow, but, polite.
(3)Christi R.
(3)Phillip V.
Best Mexican food in metro area I wish they would open other locations. If you ask for hot be prepared, because it is like it supposed to be.
(4)Cristina F.
(5)Brooke F.
(4)Tina C.
(3)Danielle B.
Food and service is excellent. My favorite plate is the enchilada dinner.
(5)Truth S.
(1)Chris W.
(4)Lori S.
Best Mexican food in Denver by far and we have tried many. The options, the service and quality go hand in hand at this place.
(4)Kevin B.
Wow! The food and margaritas were really good! We also had great service - if you go ask for Danny's section!
(5)Jeremy D.
(3)Cinde W.
(1)Ava Sophia C.
Sooo Goood! Great authentic mexican food, fantastic green chile, and amazing service!
(5)Heather A.
(5)Cara W.
(5)Daniel C.
OVER RATED!
(2)Dixon E.
This place is a dive but the food is consistently good. We have eaten here several times and keep coming back for more. In my opinion the prices are way to high and have decided not eating here any longer. We always leave dissatisfied. So long El Jardin :(
(2)Josalyn S.
(5)Tracy K.
(5)Sean M.
(2)Jojo M.
(3)Shelby M.
(5)Mark W.
This will probably become my new favorite Mexican restaurant.
(4)Annette M.
(2)Brandy V.
This place is over rated. They are constantly raising prices on the menu but the quality never changes. The alcohol drinks are very weak and taste rushed. However, they will break your wallet so you are better off drinking water. You can tell the main focus here is money.
(2)Courtney M.
(4)Greg M.
My family loves this place. It's so good that we drive down from the Broomfield area. I try something different every time and haven't had anything that I didn't enjoy. The service has always been good - not always the fastest on busy nights.
(5)Kathy D.
Great food and service. Restaurant is clean and well decorated. Would definitely recommend finding it. Tucked away a bit, so use the GPS.

Best Mexican food in commerce city! My boyfriend and I come in at least 3 times a month and have never been let down. Indian tacos, burritos, combo's, are fantastic!

Currently the Duchess, altho only been here less than a year, but so good, HAVE to come regularly. Sadly they can't express delivery to our door in Austin, to where I'm moving tomorrow. I sit at the bar cuz doesn't matter who's tending, they remember my preferences and then we catch up on each other. Desirea is THE best, as she remembers all my finicky details, sees all the certificates I've brought and uses them all and is just so mellow, never pushy... I usually order a few meals to go to split for my lunches at work...altho Desirea remembers black beans instead of refried beans and corn tortillas instead of flour, I tend to get a mix of both in my 3 to 4 to go orders, but oh well, the main courses are so yummy, the slip-ups don't mount to much set back... Altho quite the hike out here for us, definitely worth it!! Oh, and Mojito lovers, Desirea SPOILS you with hers!! And Thursdays 3-close, $1.99 Margaritas, YUM!;

This place is soooooooo good!! They have amazing green chile. I am glad that it is located close to my house because I wife and I attend this place frequently! Even the younger kids like this place. This is the most restaurant ever, the very most!

Excellent service to night from Manuela. Had one of my favs Mexican hamburger with med green chili which was a little warmer than normal. But still good. And a fried egg. Mmmmmmm.

A family favorite! Love, love, love the green chile. Pork & avocado burrito is my go to meal. Appreciate the free bday meal. Never have bad service. Mothers Day brunch is the business!!!

Manuela has treated us with the best service. Will be coming back to this place again and again

The food is great, it is pretty pricey though. The restaurant is always clean and the service is great.

Don't come. TERRIBLE service. Waited over 15 minutes for appetizer and not only did they get it wrong but forgot sides that came with it.

I'm not sure why this place has such great reviews. It's really expensive, even for sides . The green chile is almost completely tasteless and has no spice... At least tonight . The atmosphere is clean and nice but way too expensive for the quality .

Great food. My first time here. While waiting for my load dispatch told me of this place . Not disappointed . Will defiantly come back

Great food, weak margaritas and nice servers but the service was lacking. I will give them a second chance.

(5)Kathy S.

(4)Erika R.
Rellenitos were delicious. I had the "crispy chille relleno plate" large portions and yes my food was good. Service was mediocre and the credit card machine was down I had to wait 30 min to finally leave. I will definitely come back to give it another try.
(2)Sarah H.

(5)Debra C.
They have the best Mexican Food around. .
(4)Laura W.
Yum! Has become one of my favorite places. Food Is excelent. Staff Is nice. And you get a birthday meal! Oh Yea, and awesome margaritas!
(5)Brooke C.
(2)Kristin K.
Love El Jardin! I've never had a bad meal here nor bad service. Great green chili and my favorite....fajitas! The weekends can have a bit of a wait, but I'll take it as the food is worth it!
